Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:

  • The item received was not as described or is defective.
  • The item was damaged during shipping.
  • The wrong item was received.
  • The item did not arrive.

Note: Some items, such as digital downloads, personalized goods, or final-sale items, may not be eligible for refunds. Check the vendor’s product listing for any specific refund exclusions.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, buyers should:

  1. Contact the vendor directly through the Fanime Marketplace messaging system within 14 days of receiving the item.
  2. Provide clear evidence, such as photos or detailed descriptions, if the item is damaged, incorrect, or not as described.
  3. Cooperate with the vendor to resolve the issue, whether it involves a refund or a replacement.

Refund Process

Vendor-Initiated Refunds: The vendor will initiate the refund process if the request is approved. The refund will be issued via the original payment method.

Timeline: Refunds may take 5–10 business days to process, depending on the vendor and the payment processor (Stripe).

Marketplace Limitations

While Fanime Marketplace facilitates the connection between buyers and vendors, we do not handle or issue refunds directly. Our role is to act as a mediator if buyers and vendors are unable to resolve disputes.

Dispute Resolution

If a resolution cannot be reached between the buyer and vendor, buyers can escalate the issue to the Fanime Marketplace support team by emailing support@fanimemarket.com. Our team will review the case and may intervene as needed to ensure a fair resolution.

Damages and Issues

Buyers are responsible for reporting any damages, defects, or issues within 14 days of receiving their purchase. Late claims may not be eligible for refunds.

Digital Products and Final Sale Items

Refunds for digital products, personalized items, and final-sale goods are subject to the individual vendor’s policy. Buyers should carefully read the product listing for any restrictions before purchasing.

Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before the vendor processes and ships them.

For custom-made or digital goods, cancellations may not be allowed.

Buyers must contact the vendor promptly through the platform to request a cancellation.

Shipping Costs

Refunds for returned items may not include shipping fees, unless the return is due to an error by the vendor (e.g., wrong item sent).

Buyers are typically responsible for return shipping costs, unless otherwise stated in the vendor’s policy.

Vendor Cancellation

Vendors may cancel an order if they cannot fulfill it (e.g., out of stock).

Vendors must notify the customer immediately and process refunds promptly.

Platform Cancellation Rights
