Information You Provide
Depending on how you use Fanime Marketplace, you may provide information such as:

We may also maintain information about your Marketplace preferences, permissions, eligibility, and account status.
Payment Information
Payments made through Fanime Checkout are processed using Stripe and related payment services.
Fanime does not need to directly store complete payment card details in order to operate Fanime Checkout. Payment credentials and other sensitive payment information may be collected and processed directly by Stripe.
Fanime may receive and maintain information relating to a payment or transaction, such as:
- Payment and transaction identifiers.
- Payment status.
- Order totals.
- Fees.
- Refund and dispute information.
- Payment method type or limited payment details made available by the payment processor.
- Other information necessary to administer, reconcile, support, or investigate Marketplace transactions.
Automatically Collected Information
When you access Fanime Marketplace, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

- Fanime Checkout eligibility and application information.
- Stripe connected-account status.
- Transaction and earnings information.
- Hold and release information.
- Transfer or payout status.

Some creator information is intended to be public, such as a creator name, storefront, products, images, descriptions, and other information the creator chooses to publish.
Stripe Connect and Creator Onboarding
Fanime Marketplace uses Stripe Connect to support creator onboarding, payment processing, connected accounts, and related financial functionality.
Creators who apply for or use Fanime Checkout may be directed to Stripe to provide information required by Stripe. Depending on the creator and applicable requirements, this may include identity, business, banking, payout, tax, verification, or similar information.
Information submitted directly to Stripe is processed according to Stripe’s own terms and privacy practices.
Fanime may receive information from Stripe concerning a connected account, including account identifiers, onboarding or verification status, capabilities, payment and transfer status, and other information necessary to operate Fanime Checkout.
Fanime does not control all information independently collected or retained by Stripe.
Marketplace Transactions
When a transaction occurs through Fanime Checkout, Fanime may create and maintain records relating to the transaction.
These records may include:
- Buyer and creator information.
- Products purchased.
- Order amounts.
- Shipping and fulfillment information.
- Fanime Marketplace fees.
- Buyer fees, where applicable.
- Creator fees.
- Creator net earnings.
- Payment status.
- Earnings holds.
- Earnings releases.
- Transfers or payout-related records.
- Refunds.
- Disputes.
- Adjustments.
- Reconciliation and accounting records.
We use these records to operate the Marketplace, calculate creator earnings and fees, provide transaction histories, administer holds and transfers, reconcile payments, address disputes, prevent fraud, provide support, and meet applicable accounting or legal requirements.
Earnings Holds and Transfers
Fanime Marketplace may temporarily hold creator earnings before they become eligible for transfer.
We may maintain information regarding held earnings, release dates, available balances, completed or attempted transfers, transaction references, adjustments, and related financial activity.
Financial and transactional records may be retained after a transaction or account relationship ends when reasonably necessary for accounting, taxation, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, payment reconciliation, enforcement of our agreements, or compliance with applicable law.
Information Shared Between Buyers and Creators
Certain information may need to be shared between buyers and creators to complete Marketplace transactions.
For example, a creator fulfilling an order may receive information such as:
- Customer or recipient name.
- Shipping address.
- Order details.
- Purchased products.
- Information reasonably necessary to fulfill or support the order.
Creators are expected to use customer information only for legitimate purposes related to the transaction and in accordance with applicable requirements.
Fanime does not authorize creators to use Marketplace customer information for unrelated marketing or other unauthorized purposes.
Fanime Services and Artist Alley Integration
Fanime Marketplace may integrate with other Fanime services, including Fanime Artist Alley.
When you connect or use integrated Fanime services, information may be exchanged as necessary to provide the integration. Depending on the feature, this may include:
- Fanime account or creator identifiers.
- Creator or booth information.
- Booth or storefront association.
- Creator status.
- Selected customization information, such as supported booth themes or colors.
- Authentication or connection information necessary to securely associate services.
The specific information exchanged may vary as Fanime’s integrated services develop.
External Checkout and Third-Party Stores
Some creators may choose to use an External Checkout option that directs customers away from Fanime Marketplace to a creator’s own website, store, marketplace listing, or another third-party service.
When you leave Fanime Marketplace and complete a transaction through an external service, that transaction is not processed through Fanime Checkout.
Information you provide to the external website or service is subject to that service’s own privacy policy and practices.
Fanime is not responsible for the privacy, security, payment processing, or data practices of independent third-party websites or services.
We encourage you to review the privacy policy and terms of any external service before providing personal information or completing a purchase.
How We Use Information
We may use information collected through Fanime Marketplace to:

- Create and administer accounts and creator storefronts.
- Provide and operate Marketplace features.

- Support Fanime Checkout.

- Maintain and improve Fanime Marketplace.

How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling personal information for money.

Integrated Fanime Services: Where necessary to provide requested connections or functionality between Fanime Marketplace and other Fanime services.
Legal and Safety Purposes: When disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, regulatory requirements, protect users or Fanime, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.
Business Transfers: If Fanime or relevant assets are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition, financing, sale, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as appropriate in connection with that transaction.

Fanime Marketplace may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality, account sessions, shopping and checkout functionality, security, preferences, and other Marketplace features.

Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending transactional, account, security, or other non-promotional communications when necessary.
